Why do anything?

In life you reach a point where you stop feeling... yes feeling anything. No pain, no fear, no anger, no joy, no disgust, no trust or mistrust, no anticipation, no surprise, no sadness, no thirst, no hunger, no depression, no hate, no love, no nothing. But you have to go through all of them and much more, literally to abysmally lows and higher than highest highs to get there. And then you suddenly realise that nothing matters. You and everything else around you is simply insignificant.

People who haven't experienced it can't even comprehend what's being said. We all have to go through our own journeys. None of us are going to understand or learn from anyone else's experience.

You stumble upon something that ends up defining you. You do it because it makes you who you are. You don't do it for success or for failure. You do it because it comes naturally to you. It's your very personal journey. It might not make any sense to anyone else and that's completely fine. It's your thing. Your mojo.

Mine has been La Ultra - The High! You need to watch this new video done by UPslope productions to know what I am talking about.

THIRST !!
A Thirst so wild that it makes one reach for the Impossible...
This aptly describes everyone who is present at La Ultra - The High, the world’s cruelest & highest ultra race. Presenting a short film we made for BISLERI, hydration partner for this year’s La Ultra - The High.
— UPslope Productions, the story tellers of La Ultra-The High

As Mahatma Gandhi said, "Whatever you do will be insignificant, but it is very important that you do it." That's exactly why I do it.
