Couch to 5, 11 & 22 km in 100 days

Society, in one way or another, has repeatedly told you that you can’t run and then you’ve spent a lifetime fulfilling that prophecy. It’s time to change that. It starts with that first unsure step... literally. No, it’s not about a rat race. It’s about you, becoming better than what you were yesterday, one day at a time.

They’ve lied to you when they told you that they’ll teach you how to run. You ran perfectly well when you were a young child, not corrupted by teachers and gurus. Afterall, no cheetah or gazelle has ever been to any running school.

All that sitting has made you forget how to move. It’s time to remind you of what aeons ago came naturally to you.

Running isn’t about numbers, it is about rediscovering your true self. Rediscover the joy and love of running before society happened to you.

For that you have to get off your royal backside and get moving.

The Pain Handbook: A Non-Surgical Way to Managing Back, Neck and Knee Pain

If cancer is called the ‘emperor of all maladies’, back pain might well be the empress. The damn thing doesn't not kill you, nor does it make you any stronger. Not that it lets you live either. It's like being madly in love with someone who you can never be with.

Back pain affects 80 percent of people, and remains the toughest ailment to treat. Dr Rajat Chauhan gets to the heart of the problem, and explains how pain works, why we develop it, and how we can heal it. This book is sure to resonate with anyone who has suffered from back, neck and knee pain.

Almost always MRIs, injections and surgeries are not needed for back pain. You need to empower yourself with knowledge and become more aware of how to handle your pain. It is in no one else's interest but yours.

MoveMint Medicine

So you’re thinking that’s a typo, right? MoveMint? Surely you mean Movement?

No, we mean MoveMint! This is a deliberate placement of the ‘I’, as it is YOU that will be empowered to take responsibility for YOUR health through the tools and practical steps we provide in this book.

‘Move’ comes from movement, as in getting everyone moving as we’ve now realised and have the evidence to back it up that movement throughout the day is more important than just an hour of exercise in a day and than being a slob. Also, we need to make it a national and a global movement.

‘Mint’ comes from being minty, fresh and fun. Movement, without fun and happyness, is just not worth it. It addresses mind that we all ignore. Physical without Psychological and vice-versa can never be enough. Be should never forget the whole human being.

This includes using stories and quotes from ancient scriptures, made relevant to the here and now, where we explain the concept of ‘MoveMint Medicine’.

Bringing together, physical activity, exercise, nutrition, psychology, sleep and much more, MoveMint Medicine challenges the current approach to healthcare. Healthcare is in a desperate state worldwide and is more of a ‘sickcare’ industry focussed on profit that the health and well-being of patients.

This is not like any self help health book - it is entertaining, thought provoking as well as informative, with the aim of having a real impact on all members of society.

The Problem

Most of us sleep for one-third of our lives, which controls the two-third time spent being awake, further responsible for overall physical and mental health. The food we eat is crucial as it is this quality of fuel that keeps us going for life. We moved as a sperm to be born and then as a fetus to have optimal growth. We need to be at it throughout life. We are our mind, a sum total of all our experiences, sensations, feelings and memories.

Yet, somehow no one is connecting the dots between sleep-food-move-mind for optimal health & recovery from illness.

Society, in one way or another, has repeatedly told you that you can’t run and then you’ve spent a lifetime fulfilling that prophecy. It’s time to change that. It starts with that first unsure step.

No, it’s not about a rat race. It’s about you, becoming better than what you were yesterday, one day at a time. They’ve lied to you when they told you that they’ll teach you how to run.
