sports-exercise and musculo-skeletal physiotherapist
I have done my post graduation in Sports Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. I am also a certified Dry Needle Practitioner (Club Physio from The Dry Needling Institute, South Africa) and also earned a certificate in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (Capri Institute of manual therapy).
I am specialized in prevention and management of injuries resulting from sports and exercise participation at all ages and all levels of performance.
Now I have even become pretty decent at using exercise as a treatment modality for even sedentary people. I am told by my mentor at Back 2 Fitness, Dr Rajat Chauhan, with whom I have been working with for over three and a half years now, that I am extremely good in manual therapy (using hands to treat patients) and Exercise Therapy in addressing Back and Knee Pains.
For last Four years, I have been treating musculoskeletal injuries, postural malalignments, movement disorders and spinal pain, both acute and chronic.
Here at Back 2 Fitness, we use various treatment options like Proprioceptive and Kinesthetic Taping, Manual Therapy, Positional Release Technique and Dry-Needling to treat the faulty biomechanics but with my whatever little experience I certainly believe, exercise therapy is a stand alone treatment which helps you to recover faster and better and give you lasting results.
In short, my job here is to advise the Athletes on safe participation in any kind of sports, help the recreational athletes to perform better and educate non athletic population on how to live an active life.
